The Shower is Complete!

The progress is speeding up now.  The shower has taken a LOT of time to put together.  We wanted to do it right and I wanted a tiled floor and a bench (for making shaving my legs easier:) which meant a bunch of extra steps.  Here is how it's coming along!

The tiling is complete in the shower!

We added an extension are to the shower head so that my 6' 6" husband could shower without bending over to wash his hair!

Master Bathroom Remodel

Our master bathroom has been under construction since November!!  It all started when the bathroom door decided to shatter on me one Sunday morning when I was stepping out.  It was quite the surprise!  Other than a few good cuts I was just fine but shower was in need of some repair!  What started out as a shower repair became an entire bathroom remodel and after you see the before pictures you will understand why I was not disappointed that we decided to just rip out the entire bathroom.  So down to the studs it went!

And the construction begins!  No more wallpaper, carpet or pink:)

The shower door is gone!

Can't wait to get rid of this nasty shower floor!

No more pink vanity or carpet!

And the pink toilet is gone:)

To be continued ...

Energy Balls

So I tried another new recipe.  It was a definitely a keeper!  These are a all-natural but delicious snack.  The recipe makes a small batch so you can double or triple it or just make one batch so you don't eat too many at once:)

Ingredients:
2/3 cup raw almonds
2/3 cup raw walnuts
2/3 cup raw oat flakes
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup raw agave nectar
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 tbsp cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips

In a food processor mix the almonds, walnuts, oats, cinnamon and salt to a fine meal.  Add the agave nectar and vanilla.  Next, add the cocoa nibs (or chocolate chips).  Roll the cookie dough into balls (about 1 tbsp each) and place them in an air-tight container.  Place them in the freezer for about an hour to firm up. Store balls in a tightly covered container in the freezer.
